A monster avatar is your student's Beast Academy Online (BA Online) profile picture. Their avatar is shown on your Parent Account page under your subscriptions, in their personal profile in BA Online, as well as in BA Online's Leaderboards. They create their avatar using Beast Builder in BA Online.
This guide covers:
Note:
- If your student doesn't want to create a monster, they don't have to. They can get creative and make any avatar or profile picture they'd like, or they can leave their picture as is.
- Beast Builder Access is on by default, but it can be turned off under your student's subscription settings on your Parent Account page.

How to Edit Beast Avatars
Students can select a part by selecting the part itself or selecting it from within the Layer Menu. They can move a part anywhere inside the center circle.
All changes your student makes in Beast Builder are saved automatically. If they leave Beast Builder and return, their avatar will look the same as when they left it.
If they've selected more than one part, they can reflect, rotate, or resize all of them at once.
Students can select any color to choose it, and select the arrows to see more color options. Some parts can't change color.
Layering
The Layer Menu on the right side of the screen shows how all of the parts of your student's avatar are stacked on top of each other.
Students can select any part to change the layer. Parts that are behind other parts may not be visible. Students can see and select any part of their avatar in the Layer Menu, even if some parts aren't visible.
