We offer refunds for qualified books that are either:
- Returned to our warehouse within 30 days of purchase
- Postmarked by your shipping carrier within 30 days of purchase
This guide covers how to return books that were purchased as part of a Bundle, a set, or individually.
Note:
- To qualify for a refund, books ordered as part of a Bundle must be returned as a full set
- We don't accept in-person exchanges at our warehouse
- However, if you purchased books through an in-person Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) Academy class, you'll need to exchange them at your campus location

1. Review Policies
Review the relevant book return policies before proceeding with your return:
2. Verify Shipment Status
The next steps you take will depend on the status of your book shipment. There are three possible statuses:
- In your possession
- On the way to you
- At our warehouse
If the books are in your possession, proceed. If not, you'll need to cancel or change your book order before it ships.
3. Verify Eligibility
In order to qualify for a refund, the books you return must meet our criteria for return
4. Ship in a Timely Manner
In order to qualify for a refund, your package must:
- Arrive at our warehouse before the 30-day cancellation period has passed
- Be postmarked by your carrier before the 30-day cancellation period has passed
If your books meet all other criteria for returns, but your package doesn't arrive in time or isn't postmarked in time, we won't be able to provide you with a refund.
5. Prepare Return Shipment
Note:
- Return shipping cost is the customer's responsibility
- Return shipments must either arrive at our warehouse within 30 days of purchase or be postmarked within 30 days of purchase
- We don't accept partial returns of book sets that were purchased as part of a Bundle. However, we do accept partial returns of books from sets not purchased as part of a Bundle
- Include the following with your return shipment:
- A printed copy of the packing slip that came with your original shipment
- The books (in retail condition)
- If your book set was purchased as part of a Bundle, include the full set of books
- You can return the books in the original box they came in or use your own box, provided that the box is suitable for shipping
- Address the return shipment to our warehouse at the below address. This address can also be found in the sales receipt sent to your email or the packing slip in your original shipment:
6. Record Tracking Number
Keep a record of your tracking number so that you can reference it if there are any issues with the shipment's delivery.
If your return shipment qualifies for a refund, your refund will be processed within 10–15 business days of our warehouse receiving your shipment.
