How to Set Up Your Student's Account

After you've purchased your student's Beast Academy Online (BA Online) subscription through beastacademy.com, you'll need to set up their Student Account so they can access BA Online.

This guide covers how to set up your student's BA Online account.

Tip: We recommend that your student be present when you set up their account. Doing so will build excitement and ownership of their learning experience while ensuring they select sign-in credentials they can remember.

2. Select Get Started

On your Parent Reports page:

  1. Locate the student whose account you'd like to set up
  2. Select Get Started
A Parent Report page with a student account that has not yet been setup. Text on the page says "Welcome to the Reports page! This is where you'll see a snapshot of your student's progress. Before your student can start playing, you'll need to set up their account." A button below the text displays "Get Started."

3. Tell Us How You'll Use BA Online

This information will help us continue to adapt our products and resources over time to ensure we're meeting our customers' and students' needs.

  1. Tell us how you'll use BA Online by selecting the most relevant of the two options in each row
  2. Select Continue

4. Select Student's Age and Level

While each BA Online subscription provides students with access to all levels and material within BA Online, setting a level for your student determines where they'll start. You can change your student's level at any point in the future through your Parent Account page.

To set your student's level:

  1. Select your student's Age
  2. Select your student's BA Online Level
  3. Select Continue

5. Select Lock Scheme

BA Online allows you to control how lessons unlock for your student during the Student Account setup process by selecting a lock scheme. You can change your student's lock scheme at any point through your Parent Account page.

To set your student's lock scheme:

  1. Select either Sequential or All Chapters
  2. Select Continue
On the Reports page. Step 3 of 5: Choose How lessons unlock for your student.

6. Select Username

Our system uses student usernames to uniquely identify your student, track their progress, and display their achievements on the leaderboard. They'll be using this username, along with their password, to sign in to BA Online.

To set your student's username:

  1. Have your student select a BA Online username that they like and can remember
    1. If you'd like to see more options, select + Get more usernames under the list of names
  2. Select Continue

Note: Your student's username cannot be changed later so ensure that it's a name they like before moving on to the next step.

On the Reports page. Step 4 of 5: Have your student choose a username.

7. Specify Password

  1. In the Enter Password fields, have your student enter the password that they'll use to sign in to BA Online
  2. Select Continue

Note:

  • Passwords must be at least five characters long and can't include the student's nickname or any part of their BA Online username
  • You can change your student's password at any point, along with many other settings, from your Parent Account page

Once you've successfully submitted your student's password the Student Account setup will be complete and your student will be able to use their username and password to sign in to BA Online as a student.
