How to Manually Lock and Unlock Content

Updated on

While you can set lock schemes for your student(s), manual locks provide more granular control over your student's access to Beast Academy Online (BA Online) learning content. Manual locks are controlled through your Parent Account.

This guide covers how to manually lock and unlock content in BA Online.

Note:

  • If your student is playing BA Online while you manually lock or unlock content, the changes will be reflected once they reload any page within BA Online. They don't need to sign out and back in for the changes to be reflected on their end
  • The Library and the Theater can't be locked

How to Lock or Unlock Lessons and Tests

How to Lock or Unlock Puzzles

If your student's lock scheme is currently set to Sequential or All Chapters, they'll unlock the Puzzle Lab when they do enough work to reach Experience Points (XP) Level 10. After that, new puzzle types will unlock as they complete lessons and gain XP. The Puzzle Lab contains 17 puzzle types, each containing up to 10 puzzle sets with up to 8 puzzles per set. If you select the Free Play lock scheme for your student, you can select whether or not the Puzzle Lab is accessible right away for your student.
