Bundles come with a 1-year subscription to Beast Academy Online and one full level of printed books. If your student has an active Bundle and you want to extend their BA Online access past their 1-year subscription's expiration date, but won't need a new set of books, you can convert their Bundle to a Monthly or Yearly Subscription. If you do so, your student's 1-year subscription to BA Online will convert to the new subscription type on their Bundle's expiration date and their progress in BA Online will be carried over.
This guide covers the steps required to change your subscription type from an active Bundle to a Monthly or Yearly Subscription.
Before placing your order, ensure the following:
- Your student's Bundle is active rather than expired.
- Expired Bundles have a different activation and conversion process.
- You don't want to order a new level of printed books.
- If you want to order a new level of printed books and renew your active 1-year subscription, you can renew your active Bundle.
How Charges Are Handled in Monthly vs. Yearly Bundle Conversions
The payments for Monthly and Yearly Subscriptions are handled differently than Bundles. To see the charges that apply to your Bundle conversion, refer to the table below:

Instructions
1. Access Parent Account Page
2. Select Change Subscription
On your Parent Account page:
- Locate the student whose subscription you'd like to change.
- Select Change Subscription in the student's subscription settings.
Note: If you don't see Change Subscription in your student's subscription settings, that means that one of the following applies:
- It's been 30 days or less since you purchased the subscription. If that's the case, Cancel / Refund will show instead of Change Subscription.
- The student's subscription has expired. Expired Bundles can be activated as Bundles or converted to Yearly or Monthly Subscriptions.
3. Select Subscription Type
On the Subscribe page:
- Select either Monthly or Yearly.
- Note the billing date, rate, and schedule.
- Select Continue.
Note: In the image provided, the Parent Account had no other Monthly Subscriptions. Therefore, they'll have no charge upon checkout, but will be charged the monthly rate of $15.99 on the Bundle's expiration date. For more information refer to our table, above.
4. Confirm Billing Information
On the Billing page:
- Review your Payment Method and Billing Address to ensure accuracy.
- Authorize the recurring subscription fee that will be charged to your payment method.
- Select Review.
5. Review and Place Order
On the Review page:
- Review your Subscription Order Summary.
- Depending on your location, sales tax may be collected.
- Review any policies that are displayed.
- Select Place Order.
Once you place your order:
- If applicable, your payment method will be charged.
- Refer to How Charges Are Handled in Monthly vs. Yearly Bundle Conversions, above.
- A sales receipt will be sent to the email associated with your Parent Account.
- Your student's 1-year subscription to BA Online will be immediately activated, restoring their BA Online progress and access.
On your student's Bundle expiration date:
- Their subscription will convert to the new subscription type.
- Your payment method will be charged the subscription renewal fee.
