How to Convert an Expired Bundle to a Monthly or Yearly Subscription

Bundles include a 1-year subscription to Beast Academy Online (BA Online) and a full level of printed books. Once the expiration date for your student's Bundle has passed, their BA Online subscription will be considered expired and they'll no longer have access to BA Online. If you don't need a new level of printed books but want to activate your student's BA Online access while retaining their progress history, you can convert their expired Bundle to a Monthly or Yearly Subscription.

How Charges Are Handled in Monthly vs. Yearly Bundle Conversions

The payments for Monthly and Yearly subscriptions are handled differently than Bundles. To see the charges that apply to your Bundle conversion, refer to the table below:

If You're Converting to a:  and Have the Following in Your Parent Account:  Your Payment Method Will Be Charged:
Monthly Subscription Active Monthly Subscription(s)
  • A prorated rate upon checkout
    • This rate will be based on where you currently are in your existing active Monthly Subscription's billing cycle
    • Prorating upon checkout allows your new Monthly Subscription’s billing cycle to align with your existing Monthly Subscription's billing cycle
  • The discounted sibling rate on the same monthly billing schedule as your existing Monthly subscription
No other active Monthly Subscription(s)
  • The Monthly Subscription renewal fee, beginning when you complete checkout
Yearly Subscription Active Yearly Subscription(s)
  • The discounted sibling rate upon checkout, as well as annually
    • Unlike Monthly Subscriptions, Yearly Subscriptions under the same Parent Account don't share the same billing cycle and are not prorated
No other active Yearly Subscriptions
  • The Yearly Subscription renewal fee, beginning when you complete checkout

Instructions

2. Select Activate

On your Parent Account page:

  1. Locate the student whose subscription you'd like to activate
  2. Select Activate in the student's subscription settings

Note:

  • If the button in your student's subscription settings shows Renew Bundle instead of Activate, that means that your student's subscription is still active
  • If you have no Activate button under an inactive subscription, that likely means that you signed that student up for an AoPS Academy class that includes access to BA Online. Contact us to learn more about your options in this situation

3. Select Subscription Type

On the Subscribe page:

  1. Select either Yearly or Monthly
  2. Note the billing date and schedule
  3. Select Continue

4. Confirm Billing Information

On the Billing page:

  1. Review your Payment Method and Billing Address to ensure accuracy
  2. Authorize the recurring subscription fee that will be charged to your payment method
  3. Select Review

5. Review and Select Place Order

On the Review page:

  1. Review your Subscription Order Summary
    1. Depending on your location, sales tax may be collected
  2. Review any policies shown to you
  3. Select Place Order

Once you place your order, your payment method will be charged and your student's subscription will be immediately activated, restoring their BA Online progress and access.
